Angraecum didieri, also known as Didier’s Angraecum, is a captivating miniature orchid species native to the humid evergreen forests of Madagascar. Perfect for collectors and enthusiasts with limited space, this orchid is prized for its elegant, star-shaped white blooms and intriguing fragrance.
This is a smaller version of the famous "Darwin's Orchid." Add this miniature marvel to your collection and enjoy the enchanting night-time fragrance and starry blooms of Angraecum didieri.
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light; tolerates direct morning or evening sun but should be shielded from harsh midday rays.
Water: Water every 7–10 days, allowing the top inch of the medium to dry out between waterings. Mounted plants may require more frequent misting.
Humidity: Thrives at 50–70% humidity (ideally up to 80%). Low humidity can inhibit growth and cause leaf or root issues.
Temperature: Enjoys intermediate to warm conditions—daytime 70–95°F (21–35°C), nighttime 60–70°F (16–21°C). Maintain a nighttime drop of at least 5°C (9°F).
Potting/Substrate: Best grown in a well-draining orchid mix (bark, perlite, sphagnum moss) or mounted on cork or tree fern. Roots benefit from exposure to air and should not remain soggy.
Fertilizer: Use a balanced orchid fertilizer (e.g., 30-10-10) every 4–6 weeks during active growth in spring and summer.
Grown in 3" pots and beginning to spike.
