A Swan Orchid Cross Built for High Impact
A brand-new Cycnoches pairing fresh from our houses, combining two formidable parents to produce something truly remarkable.
Each long, arching inflorescence carries heavy-textured blooms opening in shades of jade green to pistachio, dusted with reddish-brown freckles across the petals. The lip sits prominent and flared, with the sweeping, long-columned posture that gives these swan orchids their name — looking for all the world like a flock of small birds caught mid-flight.
Cycnoches hybrids are pure theater in the bench area. They grow with astonishing speed through the spring, stack up massive pseudobulbs, and put on a autumn show that stops visitors in their tracks. The fragrance breaks out around mid-morning, pouring off the waxy blooms with a warm, spicy scent that fills the room. Once the show wraps up, they drop their leaves for a winter rest and ask almost nothing of you until spring.
