Vibrant Flowers That Stack Like Hotcakes
A stunning primary hybrid cross that packs continuous color onto a plant compact enough to share windowsill real estate.
Each cane develops dense clusters of heavy-textured, waxy blooms in deep reddish-pink accented by a bright orange lip. The individual flowers crowd so tightly along the stems they look like small, brightly painted pinecones clinging to the canes.
You buy Den. Hibiki 'Tiny Bubbles' for the flowers, but you keep it because it practically refuses to stop blooming. Individual flower clusters regularly hold on the plant for four to five months at a time, making it one of the most absurdly long-lasting orchids you can put on a bench. Because it stays under eight inches tall, you get all the drama of a massive Dendrobium show without needing to build an extension on your shadehouse.
Quick Care Guide
-
Light: Bright, filtered light from an east or west window; aim for light green foliage.
-
Water: Water heavily while actively growing, allowing media to just approach dryness between waterings.
-
Temperature: Nights 58–65°F, days 70–86°F.
-
Fertilizer: Feed weekly with a balanced orchid fertilizer diluted to half-strength during active growth.
-
Mature size: Plant foliage stays compact at 6 to 8 inches high; flower clusters hug the canes closely.
