Growth Stage

Den. sanderae var. luzonicum is a variety of the Dendrobium sanderae orchid, native to the tropical pine forests in the mountains of Central Luzon in the Philippines. It features clear, sparkling white flowers with an apple green lip center, blooming in clusters near the top of its canes. Long-lasting, pleasantly fragrant flowers typically bloom in spring and fall. Plants typically reach a maximum height of 20-24 inches, with 2-4 flowers per spike, and sometimes more.

CARE: Prefers bright, filtered light. East or south-facing windows are ideal, but avoid direct midday sun to prevent leaf burn. Thrives in intermediate to warm conditions.

Humidity: Enjoys moderate to high humidity (50–70%). Use a humidity tray or humidifier if needed.

Watering: Water thoroughly during the growing season, allowing the medium to dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering in winter, but do not let the plant dry out completely.

Potting: Use a well-draining orchid mix. Repot every 2–3 years or when the medium breaks down.

Feeding: Fertilize regularly during active growth with a balanced orchid fertilizer. Reduce feeding in the winter months.

Currently available in 4" pots, in bud, and blooming size.
