Bright Gold Sprays on a Succulent Pocket Fan
Two giants of Hawaiian equitant breeding meet in this cross, combining the heavy flower count of Tolumnia Golden Sunset with the saturated yellow base of Golden Glow. It stays compact, stacking stiff, triangular leaves into a tight fan.
The blooms open bright canary yellow, dusted across the center with fine cinnabar speckles. Each one-inch flower is dominated by an exaggerated lip that spreads out like a flared skirt, held on wiry, branched stems.
This is equitant breeding at its most cheerful. While Golden Sunset often throws heavy mahogany blotches, pairing it with clear yellow genetics brightens the entire spray, giving you vivid gold blossoms that hold on the plant for six weeks. They ask for direct morning sun and quick drainage. It sits easily on a crowded sill without stealing room from your Cattleyas. Space is never an excuse.
